In most cases, when people face death, their bodies begin to slowly die and disappear; But that is not the case here, as the bodies of some Tibetan monks remain fresh after what appears to be their actual death.
These monks see death as a transition from the physical world we are currently in, to higher universal consciousness. Meaning that the physical body was just a container (containing the soul) and after the end of life, the soul extends again.
What is the Rinbow Body?
The physical body is just a small layer with many multidimensional bodies that expresses the soul's existence in all dimensions. These beliefs and thoughts shape the reality of Tibetan monks. It's known that with some deep meditation practice the individual can achieve the appearance of the rainbow body with five radiant colors of light.
In the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, the matter is made of five elements: water, air, fire, earth, space. They also believe that the entire cosmos is made of these elemental energies including the human body, which makes it an individual person and a universal expression.
The main known meditation technique to activate the rainbow body is meant to alter the gravitational vibrations of these five elemental energies and transform them into radiant lights of the color spectrum.
Tibetians have their own way of identifying whether a person achieved the rainbow body. It's said when a person achieved the rainbow body alive he will cast no shadow in either lamp or sun lights. At death, the size of the physical body is greatly reduced, resulting in the exudation of perfumes and fragrances rather than the smells of decomposition, other external signs are: The sudden blooming of flowers or the appearance of a rainbow in the sky.
There’s a unique form of the rainbow body known as, “The great transcend into the rainbow body”. This ultimate form allows the rainbow body to cover the entire physical body, except for the hair and fingernails.
The five Elements:
Each element has its own unique holographic frequency that differs it from others, this vibrational frequency allows us to better understand the color, and nature of each element:
Earth:This element is responsible for the internal balance of the body and is located in the navel area. In Tibetan traditions, it is known that this energy retunes to earth after death.
Water:This life-making element expresses fluidity, cohesion, purity. Its located at the heart center and thanks to it the connectedness of our “universal solvent” is achieved.
Fire:The essence of light is located in the throat area. After death If our minds are clear and calm enough, we may glimpse or meet directly, the primary fire element with a red color, a triangle, or a red Buddha.
Air:This energy takes the center stage, as it’s the force that makes our hearts beat and motivates nerve impulses. Its located in the pelvic area.
Space:This fundamental element is like a canvas, which allows other energetic elements to manifest and perform in the physical dimension. It's also very essential for pure consciousness to channel after death.
Ascension of The Afterlife:
For those Tibetian Monks who managed to achieve a rainbow body, the journey of the afterlife is all about releasing these five elements above from the body to the whole cosmos. The way consciousness exits the physical body clarifies the journey of the afterlife. Everything is made up of energy, it can't be created or destroyed, but only transforms. Just like how the physical body fades into this planet, the soul extends to a universal scale, the self can be hosted at higher bodies, like the astral body or mental body, it all depends on the individual beliefs and practices before death.
